First let me say that I have been an Erie Insurance customer for the past 8 years, and this statement is in no way a slight on them as a company. I have always had a great experience with Erie. This agency however is not an extension of the experience that I have had with the company. I would hope that anyone who is looking for a new agent reads this and decides to go somewhere else. Insurance is a funny thing and you never really doubt that it is there until you use it. Well...I had a reason to use it this year, and when I went back to file a claim, I was told that the items that the claim was being made for was not covered the way that I thought. When I changed agents, I directly said that I wanted the same exact coverage that I have had for the last 8 years. They agreed and started putting together the paperwork. When the claim was filed, and I found out that I did not have the same coverage that I had for the last 8 years, I directed my questions to the agency. Essentially, I was told that I was a liar, and they in fact lied about our conversation to make sure that they covered themselves. I just wanted to make sure that no one else has the same horrible experience that I did.
